On Sunday, August 31, 2025, around 2:00 p.m., a loud noise was heard in the shopping plaza where our restaurant, Candy, is located. Everyone began to run in panic, thinking it was an earthquake.
It turned out to be a customer who was coming to purchase food from our restaurant. He entered the parking lot without slowing down and, instead of pulling into the space reserved for our restaurant, he crashed into the cigar shop located right next to it.
The driver was moving at high speed, as if he were on a highway, and drove straight into the neighboring cigar shop, completely destroying its front façade.
At that moment, many people were waiting inside the restaurant. One can only imagine what could have happened if the car had entered our restaurant—customers and kitchen staff could have been killed.
Glory be to God, there were no victims in the cigar shop, as a door stopped the vehicle.
Beloved, God is faithful and real. Had it not been for His divine hand that day, I might not be here today. As the Bible says: “The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”
