Biblical proof of the divinity of Jesus Christ
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Jehovah or Yahve is the special name God gave himself in the Old Testament. The name that was revealed to Moses in Exodus 3:14 .. I Am That I Am..
Today's study is based on 3 observations
In the Old and New Testaments1-The Shepherd of the Old Testament, the Lord, is also the Shepherd of the New Testament in the person of Jesus Christ.
The Bible presents the Lord as Shepherd Psalm 23:1
And Jesus as the Good Shepherd in John 10:11
This observation is confirmed by the author of Hebrews 13:20-21
2-The God of the Old Testament, the First and the Last is Jesus who identifies with the Father
Isaiah 48:12 and Isaiah 44:6 Present God as The Only God
Revelation 1:18 Speaks of the only character in history to conjugate the verb die in the imperfect tense: “I was dead”. Which means that Jesus conquered death and rose again.
Revelation 22:13 Raises a question: Who are Alpha and Omega? Verse 16 answers it: Jesus.
3-God’s Jealousy in the Law
Exodus 20:2-3 The people Israel did not yet know God. They will know it through the Decalogue. God is sensitive to his sovereignty which is why He says that He is jealous in the first law given to the people Israel.
We can compare this law with John 1:14 And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; and we have beheld his glory, a glory like the glory of the only Son from the Father.
